Oppiebol Foundation reaches out to women living with disabilities
Disabled women spoiled to boost their morale
The Oppie Bol Foundation closed off Women’s month by spoiling women living with disabilities.
The organisation invited ladies in and around Tshwane areas and treated them to massages, hair treatments, manicures and make-up.
Organisation founder and CEO Cazle Hendrick said they decided to take the initiative and celebrate the women because they felt that women with disabilities were not being celebrated enough.
Hendrick further said that the celebration was not only attended by women with disabilities.
“The initiative boosted the morale of women… coming together as a collective in recognition of them being women, being citizens and also being given an opportunity to say, we have been acknowledged and celebrated,” the CEO said.
He continued to say the organisation catered for more than 200 women, who attended the event, adding that as the organisation they managed to rope in entities such as the beauty hub and Mac make-up artists who were also in attendance to teach women on how to apply make-up.
The Oppie Bol Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation based in Pretoria.
