65 bags of dagga found in man’s possession in Sinoville
A tip-off led to the arrest of a man in possession of dagga.
A man was arrested when 65 ziplock bags of dagga were found in his possession.
Sinoville police were busy conducting crime prevention patrols when they received a tip-off on Tuesday, of a person selling dagga.
Spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan van Dyk said officers followed up on the information and the suspect was seen walking and carrying a blue backpack. He was stopped and searched. Sixty-five ziplock bags filled with dagga were found in his possession.
“He was immediately arrested for possession of and dealing dagga.”
Sinoville station commissioner Lieutenant-Colonel Alet Pratt thanked the community who shared the information as well as the officers for their commitment to the community and hard work within the policing area of Sinoville.
She gave her assurance to the community that the Sinoville SAPS would continue to make the policing precinct a safer place for the residents.
