Wonderboompoort police looking for house robbers
The criminals robbed the family and tenants of their valuables including a television, cellphones, cash, laptops and a Hyundai i20 with registration YYX619GP.
The Wonderboompoort police have appealed to residents for information that can lead to the arrest of three house robbery suspects.
Wonderboompoort police spokesperson Constable Mandlakayise Zwane said late last month, a 43-year-old man together with his family and tenants were robbed of their valuables at gunpoint in a house in Capital Park.
“The criminals robbed the family and tenants of their belongings in the evening on Tuesday, August 29,” Zwane told Rekord.
He said the man and his family were having supper together around 19:45 when an unknown man entered the house and held them at gunpoint.
“The suspect with a gun was followed by two other unknown men who instructed everyone to keep quiet while they ransacked the house.”
He said the thugs dismounted a television from the wall and took it as well as cellphones, money, laptops and a Hyundai i20 motor vehicle with registration YYX619GP.
Some of the valuables belonged to tenants as the suspects proceeded to the rooms rented by tenants and also robbed them of their valuables at gunpoint, he said.
“The suspects were travelling in a white Polo Vivo,” he said, adding that no shots were fired and no one sustained injuries at the scene.
He said anyone with information that can help the police solve the case can contact the Wonderboompoort police on 012 335 2812, 08600 10111 or the investigating officer Warrant Bronkhorst on 082 807 4077.
The police urged the community members not to apprehend the suspects themselves as they are armed and dangerous, but advised they notify the police as soon as possible when becoming aware of their whereabouts instead.
