Rietgat SAPS arrest over 30 suspects

Suspects will appear before the Soshanguve magistrate's court soon.

Rietgat police arrested over 30 suspects for various crimes over the weekend.

Charges included possession of drugs, using dagga in a public place; assault with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm; armed robbery; house robbery; robbery with a firearm; common assault domestic violence; theft from a motor vehicle; possession of a stolen motor vehicle, malicious property damage; driving without a licence and contravention of a protection order.

Those arrested will appear before the Soshanguve magistrate’s court soon.

Station commander Brigadier Molatelo Maphoto praised officers in blue for their efforts.

“I am grateful that more boots on the ground are yielding positive results and the officers are selflessly putting the safety of the community first by getting rid of bad apples within the community,” said Maphoto.
