Akasia police phone line working again

Residents can get in touch with the station by calling 012 564 0700.

The Akasia police station telephone line is up and running again.

Residents can once again get in touch with the station on 012 564 0700.

Earlier this month, the station notified locals that its telephone line was nonfunctional.

At the time, Akasia police spokesperson Lindiwe Mabasa said that the provincial office had been notified of the problem and technicians were working on it.

But this has been an ongoing issue.

Rekord previously reported that the line was down because the switchboard system was too old and needed replacing.
