TikTok Quanzah wants to use his platform to connect people in need
“I want to be that glue that brings this all together.”

Local social media influencer Kwanele Buhlungu from Centurion has a love for travelling and cooking, and a creative drive that desperately needed an outlet, which saw him take to TikTok.
He plans to grow his platform on TikTok and use it to connect people in need.
Quanzah, as Buhlungu has become known, always makes sure his videos are perfect before he posts them, from the neat and rich backgrounds, to his fresh style aesthetic, reaching thousands on a daily basis.
“I still get goosebumps when I go live on TikTok and a hello from Tanzania or Mauritius pops up,” he said.
Quanzah told Rekord how, living in Pretoria, he often meets people who recognise him from his online interactions as he frequents many of the city’s fun hotspots.
“It’s amazing to see how much my TikTok videos have propelled me, to the point where I’m now recognised by people in my area. It’s not uncommon for me to be approached by strangers who want to continue conversations that we’ve had during my live streams.”
In under a year, Quanzah was able to grow his following to almost 200 000 and he shows no signs of slowing down.
“As a newbie on TikTok, I feel I have achieved great success within a short period.

“I believe my unique blend of creativity, humour and authenticity has captured the attention of many. I am dedicated to my craft consistently posting fresh content that keeps my followers engaged,” he said.
Quanzah was inspired to begin posting on the popular social media platform as a way to release his creative energy and to help bring joy and laughter to the world, especially as many struggle with a sense of belonging.
He said that he works hard to bring his followers content they will enjoy.
“When inspiration strikes, I spend time brainstorming ideas and scripting videos to ensure a clear message is communicated.
“I am meticulous when it comes to production, always ensuring the lighting, audio and background are perfect before filming.”

He makes sure that the final product he posts is polished and that it resonates with his audience before he posts his videos.
Quanzah said that he wants to expand his reach across multiple platforms, and that he is starting an organisation to help bridge the gap between people that need help and those that can offer it.
“I have recognised that during my live sessions I have people from all different backgrounds, some looking for help and some looking for ways to help others. I want to be that glue that brings this all together,” he said.
As advice to others who are interested in becoming content creators, Quanzah says that it all comes from being yourself.
“Your authenticity is a key to building a strong and loyal audience on any platform. It is important to create content that reflect passion and interest. Be bold and take risks with your content even if it means stepping out of your comfort zone. And make sure you have fun in the process!”
