Tshwane flying squad recovers stolen motorcycle in Winterveldt

The bike still had its original number plate fitted on it.

The Tshwane flying squad recovered a stolen white Big Boy motorcycle on Thursday.

The bike was found abandoned at Bushveld Road near the Vuka Shell garage in Winterveldt.

According to police spokesperson Sergeant Alfred Legodi, the motorcycle was reported stolen in Hillbrow.

“An investigation was launched to try to identify the offenders well as bring them to book.

“The bike will be returned to its original owner after all necessary processes.”

Legodi said the original number plate of the bike was still fitted.

He said the suspect abandoned the bike and possibly fled the scene.

“Our local criminal record centre attended to the scene to try to find evidence which may lead us to a suspect.”

The motorcycle was taken to the Pretoria West vehicle crime investigation unit.
