Mams family searching for missing woman
The police seek help finding a missing Mamelodi woman, aged 31 years old, who was last seen on April 24.
A 31-year-old woman from Mamelodi has been reported missing.
Samkelisiwe Sharon Shongwe was last seen by a family member in the early hours of Monday (April 24).
Police spokesperson, Constable Lethabo Mashiloane said the police have already started investigating a missing person’s case and appealed to the public for assistance in locating Shongwe.
He said she was reported by a family member missing on May 4.
“A family member left Sharon Shongwe in the house around 05:45, when she was going to work and when she returned home around 17:30 she was surprised when she was not there,” said Mashiloane.
No one knows about her whereabouts and the clothes she was wearing when she went missing.
Police advised families to often check on each other and always know the whereabouts of their loved ones.
Mashiloane concluded there is no waiting period to report a missing person.
Anyone who has information on her whereabouts is urged to contact SAPS Mamelodi East at 012 815 7000, Crime Stop at 08600 10111 or submit information through the MySAPS app.
