Broken MRI machine at Steve Biko ‘unacceptable’, says Shadow MEC
According to Gauteng Shadow MEC of Health Jack Bloom the machine has been broken since February.
A man died and another was taken to hospital following an accident on the N1 north near Garsfontein Road on Tuesday morning.
Emer-G paramedic spokesperson Dean Slater confirmed that the accident happened around 10:00.
While the cause of the accident is unclear at this stage, it appears the vehicle had rolled.
Slater said on arrival paramedics found two passengers trapped in the wreckage.
“One person was declared dead by paramedics,” Slater said.
“The other was taken to a nearby hospital with severe injuries including a cracked skull.”
This is not the first accident to take place near Garsfontein Road recently.
Earlier this year a passenger sustained serious injuries after being ejected from his vehicle as it rolled.
