Four shot dead at Ga-Rankuwa tavern
Preliminary investigations found that four suspects, who were driving in a black BMW 1 Series F20 model, fired shots at the victims.
Four people were shot and killed and two injured at a tavern in Ga-Rankuwa on Monday.
“Police received a call about a shooting near a tavern in Mashate Gardens in the early hours of June 12,” said provincial police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo.
Upon their arrival, they found the bodies of a woman and a man inside a Renault Cleo vehicle with gunshot wounds on the upper body.
A few metres from the vehicle, they discovered another male body with gunshots.
“Three more people – two women and a man – were also shot and taken to a local medical care centre. The man died of his injuries,” Masondo added.
Although the motive of the shooting is unknown, police said that preliminary investigations found that four suspects, who were driving in a black BMW 1 Series F20 model, fired shots at the victims.
Police asked that anyone who might have information that can help in the investigation or assist in the apprehension of the suspects please call the nearest police station or call Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
“Information can also be given anonymously via MySAPS App that can be downloaded from any smartphone,” Masondo said.
