Eersterust school receives special donation

Eersterust primary school received a special visit on Wednesday in celebration of Youth Day.
SPAR Pretoria in partnership with Good Morning Angels and PS Fourie primary school donated shoes and other items of clothing.
According to SPAR, many learners at the school had a desperate need for shoes and clothes.

Together, the partnership was able to donate a total of 750 pairs of shoes.
The day also saw PS Fourie primary school principal and Gerrit Lanning realise their dreams of opening a keepers centre at the school.
Dianne Broodryk, the spokesperson for Good Morning Angels expressed her excitement on the partnership.
“We are overjoyed to collaborate with SPAR North Rand and PS Fourie primary school to make a positive impact on the lives of these young learners.
“Together, we believe in the power of education and the importance of ensuring every child has the necessary resources to succeed,” she said.
Retha Ingenbleek, sponsorship controller at SPAR North Rand, emphasised the significance of the school shoes initiative.
“At SPAR Pretoria, we understand that education plays a pivotal role in shaping a brighter future,” she said.
“We are deeply grateful to our loyal consumers whose support for this initiative has been unwavering year after year.
“Their dedication enables us to give back to the community and provide essential school items to those who need them the most.”

Bernard Leeuwschut, wellness coordinator at PS Fourie primary school, expressed his gratitude, stating: “We are immensely thankful to SPAR Pretoria and Good Morning Angels for their support.
“These school shoes will make a world of difference to our learners, providing them with the confidence and comfort they need to focus on their studies and pursue their dreams.”
The Youth Day activation was filled with smiles, laughter and a strong sense of community spirit.
The event highlighted the belief that every child deserves equal access to education and the tools necessary to succeed.
