Driver freed with jaws of life in Pretoria North accident
Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a vehicle lying on its roof.
One person was moderately injured in an accident which involved one vehicle on Sunday morning.
Firefighters arrived at an accident scene in Pretoria North this morning to find a light motor vehicle on its rooftop.
According to Charles Mabaso, spokesperson for the Tshwane Emergency Services, the accident happened at approximately 01:59 on Sunday, August 27.
“A moderately injured driver was still in the vehicle upon the arrival of the Fire Department,” Mabaso said.
“The driver was not trapped, but a door of the vehicle had to be opened with the Jaws of Life to get him out.”
He was transported to a nearby medical facility with moderate injuries.
Mabaso said that the cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
