I would like to comment on the article published on 18 October regarding loud noise that has caused a feud in the community.
We are residents at Villa Lucca, on the corner of South and West streets, and can categorically state that the noise pollution from both the rugby club and the Riverside Pub is excessive.
Their claim that the complaints are nothing more than competitors with a vendetta against them is absolute nonsense. Rubbish.
The Riverside Pub’s music can clearly be heard from across from the river and over the sports grounds. This is a seriously big problem, and really makes weekends a nightmare.
