Reader wants to help community

I believe making a difference in these children is actually making a difference to the future of SA.

I live in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga. It saddens me that there are so many families that are struggling financially and do not even have access to get basic food. I try to help those close to me as best I can. I am unemployed, but try my best to help others with what I’ve been blessed.

I wish there could be a soup kitchen for my neighbours so that they can get one decent meal a day.

I also volunteer to teach local children every day after school from my kitchen. Sadly, I am not able to take more in, even though many parents have approached me.

This appeal is not for cash, but for containers/park homes or wendy houses to use as classes. I believe making a difference in these children is actually making a difference to the future of SA.

Today’s children are our future. Since I have taken the children in, there has been a great improvement in their results. I would appreciate assistance, not cash.
