LETTER: Praise for officers’ professional conduct

I was one of the three CPF members on scene at this incident.

I have to say that the Pretoria Central SAPS officers that assisted us last night were exceptionally professional and considerate towards the man who had passed. They blocked the view of his body from the public out of respect towards the victim.

The two officers that worked hard to get all the necessary role players to the scene to expedite his removal and voiced their concerns and dissatisfaction at how the hospital handled this patient. They were just upset about how it was handled as the public present were and I feel that they deserve to be recognised for their willingness to get help as soon as possible. Once we handed the scene over to these two officers, they made things happen rather speedily. I just feel it important to recognise these two officers that really went the extra mile on this incident.
