Matsatsantsa’s coach hails new addition
In their quest to dominate the domestic league, SuperSport United have added a new, exciting player to their team – Lebogang Manyama from Ajax Cape Town.
SuperSport United’s coach, Cavin Johnson, has hailed their new signing, Lebogang Manyama, as a “top-class footballer.”
Johnson said he believed Manyama would be a fantastic addition to his team. “We have a lot of fixtures coming up so we are going to need a good squad of quality players, and we hope Lebo will blend in nicely with the rest of the players,” he said.
United showed their authority in the domestic league when they surprisingly snatched the services of the lanky midfielder after his planned move to the Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs, fell through. The former Premier Soccer League champions signed the talented midfielder from Ajax Cape during the transfer window in January. Manyama spent three and a half years with Ajax.
The winger scored 15 goals in 71 starts for the Urban Warriors since his arrival in Cape Town and said that Johnson was a large factor in him joining the Tshwane-based club. “He showed me from the beginning that he really wanted me,” said Manyama.
