Young Bafana Bafana team applauded
The team set to represent South Africa's u.23 football team started their preparations with a Cosafa cup triumph.
Bafana Bafana have managed to restore some pride with an inspiring win over Botswana on Saturday, thereby winning the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (Cosafa) cup.
The mostly u.23 squad, that will take part in the upcoming 2016 Rio Olympics, defeated Botswana 3-2 in the final played in Namibia on Saturday.

The team’s triumph means the South African Football Association’s (Safa) Vision 2022 is still on track.
Vision 2022 aims to build a national team (men and women) that would qualify for major tournaments with ease.
Safa president Dr Danny Jordaan lauded the young squad, saying the association’s decision to send the u.23 to the tournament had been richly rewarded.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank Shakes Mashaba, his technical team and of course the players who conquered the entire Southern Africa region for a job well done. Few gave them (the young players) a chance but their determination surprised everyone.”
“The team displayed some amazing fighting spirit and never stopped trying until the final whistle. The players were justifiably rewarded as the best side in the region,” said Jordaan.
