Feed a Child is a charity organisation with the mission to eradicate poverty and to help people to enter the South African economy.

This process starts with provision of nourishing meals to children irrespective of race, class, or creed. The organisation tries to plant seeds of hope and not only provide fish but ultimately teach hope by training fishermen.

As a measurement, Feed a Child is currently assisting with more than two million meals per year at a cost of R2.50 per meal. It believes the public can help in getting to more people, more quickly.

This means everyone can be part of the success story of Feed a Child. The organisation strongly believes in teaching hungry and helpless people self-sustainability and therefore teach them to start their own vegetable gardens and to help make sure it becomes an ongoing success.

The Feed a Child organisation covers food, water, education, medical services and sustainability. This means they will issue Section 18A donor deductible contribution certificates for all contributions received.

Feed a Child is listed as a charity for the Cape Argus Cycle Challenge taking place on 8 March 2015 in Cape Town. Cyclists who have not entered could contact Feed a Child who could make it possible to still enter the race.

All entries must be in by 20 February 2015. Every R2.50 raised with this event will secure a nutritious meal for a hungry child. The support of cyclists will be much appreciated.
