Amatuks appoints new coach
Amatuks names Shaun Bartlett as new coach after parting ways with Sammy Troughton.

University of Pretoria named former Bafana Bafana and Charlton Athletic striker Shaun Bartlett as their new head coach on Thursday.
Amatuks earlier confirmed on its website that it had parted ways with former head coach Sammy Troughton.
Amatuks has been struggling since Steve Barker left the club almost two seasons ago. After a top eight finish in their first season, the students have found themselves often at the bottom half of the table.
“Though we are parting with coach Sammy in the middle of the season, we shall always hold him in high esteem for his loyalty and coach acumen for the many years he was an integral part of our programme,” said Dr. Rendani Mulaudzi, CEO of AmaTuks.
“We shall not forget the role that coach Sammy played in our structures for so many years, and we wish him the best as we part ways. We would like to thank him sincerely for the role he played in making our football programme and AmaTuks what they are today.”
Tuks are second from last with 12 points from 15 games.
Amatuks will travel to Royal Bafokeng on Sunday to tackle the high-flying but unpredictable Platinum Stars.
