Mixed bag of results for local teams
Supersport and Sundows were victorious on Saturday while Amatuks and Titans suffered defeats on Sunday.

Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United were victorious while Amatuks suffered defeat in Absa Premier League clashes at the weekend.
The Unlimited Titans, who beat the VKB Knights on Friday, also had a bad game two days later.
Despite getting a new coach on Thursday, the students never got out of the blocks during their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Platinum Stars in Rustenburg on Sunday.
Amatuks now lie second from last with just 12 points from 16 games. Their next two games will be against Free State Stars and Orlando Pirates respectively.
In the other game that was played at the Harry Gwala stadium, Sundowns managed to hold off a brave Maritzburg to maintain their top spot after a hard fought 3-2 victory.
Downs’ goals came from Hlompho Kekana (who scored a brace) and Khama Billiat while Maritzburg scored two quick goals in the dying minutes.
SuperSport United began life under a new coach with a 1-0 victory over Free State Stars. The only goal of the match came in the 14th minute from Kingston Nkhatha. Matsatsantsa now sit on 10th on the Absa Premier League table.
In Cricket, The Unlimited Titans lost by 14 runs to the Warriors in Eastern Cape on Sunday. The men from Pretoria now sit on fourth place with 13 points from seven games.
The Titans next face the Cape Cobras on Friday at the Sahara Park Willowmoore in Benoni.
