Sundowns once again the most dominant team in Pretoria over the weekend.

Mamelodi Sundowns again headlined the sporting weekend when they demolished Free State Stars 5-2 on Sunday.

The Brazilians showed dominance throughout, despite trailing in the first minute of the match. Pitso Mosimane’s team was in seventh heaven as they registered their 13th win of the season.

Wayne Adrense, Khama Billiat, Keagan Dolly, Mogakolodi Ngele and Leonardo Castro were all on target as a rampant ‘Downs moved six points clear on the table with 12 games remaining in the Absa Premier League.

Both SuperSport United and University of Pretoria lost on the weekend against Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates respectively.

The two Tshwane teams have not had luck since bringing new coaches to their teams last month.

Cricket

The Proteas lost their second consecutive One Day International against England by five wickets. Despite posting a respectable of 262, the Proteas failed to trouble the English batsmen as they scored runs with ease. They managed to reach the total with 22 balls remaining and five wickets in hand.

Their next game is against England at the SuperSport Park in Centurion on Tuesday.

Rugby

The Vodacom Blue Bulls lost 28-10 to the Free State Cheetahs on Saturday afternoon.
