Sport Highlights 10-12 Februarie
International cricket, Varsity Cup rugby and local soccer are some of the sporting action sports lovers can look forward to this weekend.
The sporting year is now properly under way and sports lovers’ weekends are becoming fuller by the week.
Cricket
Sri Lanka’s extensive tour of South Africa, which started in December, comes to an end this week with the last fixture in the series of five one day internationals. Pretorians will have the privilege to watch the last game of the tour at SuperSport Park in Centurion at 13:30 on Friday afternoon.
Rugby
Of course, the Bulls take on the Chiefs in their last Super Rugby warm-up game in Brisbane this weekend but local fans can see Varsity Cup action live on Monday night when Tuks play in their second game of the season against the Madibaz of Port Elizabeth at 18:30 at the Tuks stadium.
TUT, who played their opening game against Rhodes in the Varsity Shield on Thursday, will have a bye on Monday.

Soccer
With the African Cup of Nations something of the past now, fans can focus on local action again. The Premier League already resumed this week after a break and SuperSport United played against Golden Arrows on Wednesday. On Saturday local soccer fans will fill up the stands at Loftus Versfeld when Mamelodi Sundowns play against Orlando Pirates in a very important game at 15:30.

Athletics
The well-known Bestmed TuksRace which attracts more than 10 000 athletes annually, takes place this weekend. The event consists of a 21.1km half marathon, a 10km road race and a 5km fun run. The half marathon starts at 06:00, the 10km race follows at 06:30 then the fun run at 06:40 at the Tuks Sports Campus in Hatfield.
