Tickets for the send-off Test at Loftus still available for sleepyheads
Sleepyheads can still buy tickets for tonight's send-off test match at Loftus Versfeld, during which the Springboks will be in action against Argentina for the last time before leaving for Japan for the World Cup.
The Boks are the new Castle Lager Rugby Championship holders and today (Saturday 17 Augustus) at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, they will play their Farewell Test against what promises to be a fired-up Argentina side.
For Bulls fans it will be all about Schalk, Lizo, Lood, RG, Marco, Jesse and Warrick…
Tickets for the Boks’ final fling on home territory before they depart for Japan are still available and can be bought at www.ticketpro.co.za and the Loftus Versfeld ticket office.
The Boks will be led out by a new captain in Schalk Brits, while Siya Kolisi takes a cameo role on his way back from injury and Scarra Ntubeni is in line to make his Test debut from the bench. And players like Lood de Jager, RG Snyman and Jesse Kriel can’t wait to say goodbye to their beloved Loftus Versfeld.
Rassie Erasmus has challenged this new-look Bok team to make a resounding statement about the health of South African rugby in their Farewell Test against the Pumas.
The side is packed with players looking to secure a place in South Africa’s Rugby World Cup squad.
Erasmus attributed the team’s turnaround in fortunes to the ownership of performance that had been taken by the players.
“It’s something they wanted and they are hungry to be successful. If you look at it, nothing has really changed at the top – we have the same structures. But the players train hard, they play hard and they want to win games and for all the work we do off the field it comes down to a Handré Pollard against a Richie Mo’unga or a Duane Vermeulen against a Kieran Read, and the players have taken that on.”
Saturday’s match against Argentina kicks off at 17:05 and tickets are available from www.ticketpro.co.za and the Loftus Versfeld ticket office.
