Entries still open for SPAR Virtual Challenge
With less than two weeks to go before the big day of the SPAR Women’s Virtual Challenge, prospective participants can still enter at selected SPAR stores.
While online entries have closed, there are still multiple ways for women around the country to take part in a nationwide celebration when the SPAR Women’s Virtual Challenge is held on 3 September, 2022.
Following the success of the SPAR Women’s Virtual Challenge over the last two years, social runners and walkers can join the action again, with participants able to complete their own distance on their own route any time between 6am and 6pm on the day of the event, wherever they are in SA or Namibia.
Inland entries are now available at more than 20 Spar stores around South Africa, including Les Marais, Lyttelton, Queenswood and Soshanguve.
Bulk entries (for groups of 15 people or more) also remain open, with queries to be directed to Cornel.Steyn@spar.co.za or Sophia.Matlou@spar.co.za.
People who want to take part in a group environment can also join the celebration at over 190 venues, in partnership with the popular parkrun series.
All venues for group runs, including parkrun venues, can be found at https://sparvirtualchallenge.co.za/, or for any enquiries people can also call 011 203 5303, the official helpline.
Participants in the SPAR Women’s Virtual Challenge, which is limited to 60 000 entries, will each receive a race pack which includes a draw-string bag, a t-shirt, a buff, a race magazine and a medal.
For every SPAR Women’s Virtual Challenge entry, a packet of sanitary products will be donated to help keep a girl child in school.
