Bulls third on URC log after beating Sharks

The Bulls almost scored their fourth fifty of the new URC season against the Sharks on Saturday, when they scored six great tries against the Durbanites.

The Bulls scored almost their fourth fifty in this year’s United Rugby Championship (URC) tournament in scorching heat at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday, when they thoroughly thrashed the Sharks and achieved a 44-10 victory.

In the process, the Bulls crossed the goal line six times of which outside centre Stedman Gans scored two. A few of these tries were truly impressive.

The Bulls have shown that they are a first-class team these days, who even against a team like the Sharks – who were teeming with stars in their ranks – were able to score tries from set pieces.

With the URC now almost halfway through the league phase, the Bulls are currently in third place on the log. With the URC in recess for the next two weeks to make time for the first two rounds of the Investec Champions Cup (formerly known as the Heineken Cup), the Bulls will resume their URC campaign on 23 December continues against the Stormers in Cape Town.

Jake White’s men play against the top English team, Saracens, in their first Investec Champions Cup fixture at Loftus Versfeld this coming Saturday.
