Gauteng Covid-19 cases climb to 3 167

No new deaths recorded by health department on Wednesday.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng stood at 3 167, with 1 995 recoveries on Wednesday.

Department of Health spokesperson Kwara Kekana said out of a total of 12 582 contacts traced (individuals who were in contact with a person positive for Covid-19) 9 889 people have completed the 14 days monitoring period with no symptoms reported and were de-isolated.

She said 118 people are currently hospitalised in the public and private facilities.
