Give yourself the gift of a year – a year to achieve the success you deserve!

Abbotts College Pretoria-East has become a household name when it comes to high quality, non-traditional schooling, which provides students with the opportunity to upgrade their matric results. For the class of 2022, this was also true, with numerous part-time students joining the school to upgrade their matric marks in 2022 successfully.

Bulumko Jombile was one of the part-time students who chose to redo some of his subjects with Abbotts College Pretoria East in 2022. He improved his marks in Mathematics with 21%, EGD with 16%, and Physical Sciences with 17%. Through this experience, he has realised that he has a passion for teaching and is currently enrolled to study Education.

Njabulo Dhlamini was the top achiever at Abbotts College Pretoria East, with six distinctions. She worked hard to make her dreams come true. If dedication had a face, it would be hers. Njabulo will study Accounting Sciences at WITS university.

Nicole Cronje also achieved six distinctions. Nicole has been a dedicated student since the first day she started at Abbotts College Pretoria-East. Nicole will be studying for a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Fashion Buying at the University of Pretoria.
“We are extremely proud of Bulumko, Njabulo, Nicole and their fellow students for the excellent results they achieved during the 2022 Matric exams,” says Principal Mignonne Gerli.
“They were dedicated to their studies, and their hard work paid dividends. I am particularly proud of all the academic improvements we saw as this is at the heart of what we do at Abbotts College High School.”
When the matric results are released, it is a time of varied emotions. Some students perform beyond expectation, whilst others may not have met the goals they had set for themselves.
One of the options available to students is to redo the subjects they need to improve, focusing on fewer, aiming to improve in these, or choosing different subjects, aiming to improve their AP Score to meet the requirements for their desired course. Some even choose to redo their entire matric offering.
Abbotts College enrol part-time Grade 12 students (who attend daily classes, redo their portfolio tasks and write the IEB National Senior Certificate examinations at the end of the year), aiming to assist you in achieving better results and reaching the required level for your chosen field of study.
