LIMPOPO – The lawyer, who is according to the police information a suspect in the matter, was arrested in Polokwane about 30 minutes ago.
Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the suspect is to ‘possibly’ appear before the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (Friday) on four counts of attempted murder.
One firearm was recovered during the arrest, confirms Ngoepe.
Police investigations continue.
LIMPOPO – Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, says police are requesting the assistance of a Polokwane lawyer who was on the farm at the time of the incident.
The lawyer was representing one of the parties present in what is believed to be a land dispute.
According to unconfirmed information, the discussions escalated when the suspect produced a firearm and allegedly shot four of the employees before fleeing the scene with his vehicle.
The shooting occurred this morning, 22 June, at about 09:30.
The injured employees were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
No one has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
