Polokwane woman grows her business to empower over 100 people

For the past 63 years, NeoLife has been building a global community of people who find purpose and passion in empowering other families to great health and an earth friendly lifestyle.

POLOKWANE – “My life is totally different after having worked with NeoLife for seven years. It’s been an amazing, liberating journey.”

This is what Matlakala Matlala, a single parent living in Polokwane says about her experience working with NeoLife.

“Before I joined the NeoLife family, I worried about how I was going to educate my children. Every day was a battle. One day I could afford to buy only mealie-meal, the next only tea and sugar. Now all those worries are behind me.”

Joining NeoLife happened by accident, Matlakala explains.

“I used to sell odds and ends to the people around me, so I was used to that sort of unpredictable, risky life. When someone told me about NeoLife, and I investigated their business and I was convinced that this was my future.”

This global company has been operating in South Africa for over 50 years and markets a range of research-based cellular nutrition supplements as well as skin care and home care products using a unique business model that empowers ordinary people like Matlakala to market the products in their local areas.

Matlakala has now reached Emerald Director status, a senior level, which means much of her work involves leadership, team building, and training.

“All that work paid off. I am even more motivated to help people change their lives in the same way I did,” she says.

Matlakala’s lifestyle is totally different and says she has travelled, bought a new car and that her kids’ education is taken care of.

The number of people working in her group varies.

“Some people come and go but, in general, I have about 100 active team members. It’s an amazing feeling and it offers so many families a real chance at financial freedom.”

Matlakala is proud of the benefits NeoLife’s products have given the people in her community.

“In particular, the products give the children a solid nutritional basis, which is often lacking in the township environment. I believe in the science behind the products and I pass on that knowledge to my team.”

NeoLife offers its distributors unparalleled support.

“I receive ongoing mentorship as well as a personalised website and mobile app. Warehousing and distribution are taken care of, so I just have to focus on training and expanding my team. The benefits flow to both my team and the broader community,” she concludes.
