KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND MAIN TASKS (BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
• Participate in the development/revision of the audit methodology and contribute to areas of improvement.

• Participate in the revision of the RAL risk register and the identification of risk mitigating measures to ensure effective operations.

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To provide high-level strategic support to the CEO in
planning, executing and ensuring the success of the CEO’s mandate.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
• This role is responsible for running the office of the CEO, covering a wide spectrum of
responsibilities to ensure that the CEO can focus on strategic priorities and deliver on their

• Office Management.
• Responsible for the smooth running of the office of the CEO, ensuring coordination across the organisation and managing the CEO’s communications and preparations for key meetings.

The Executive Manager: Corporate Services reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will be required to provide overall leadership, direction, coordination, and control of the strategic functioning of corporate support services which includes Human Resources Management, ICT, Facilities Management and Communications and Marketing. Develop corporate services strategies and plans and oversee their implementation.
JOB OBJECTIVES
(a) Strategic and operational management
• Overall control and management of the Corporate Services Department.
• Develop a comprehensive Corporate Services Plan that enables a high-performance organisational culture.
• Develop, manage and execute the approved services strategies for each unit, including Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, and Facilities Management.

(c) Financial Management
• Compile the annual budget for the division through discussion with the various sub- units on
financial requirements.

Education: Formal Qualifications
Position Requirements: Masters, Honours Degree or Postgraduate qualification recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) in either field of Public Management and Governance/Law (LLB /LLM) or equivalent. MBA or MBL will be an added advantage.

• BTech /Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in roads and related structures for a minimum of 7 years post
qualifications. With 5 years’ experience in Road Asset Management systems.

• Certifications in road condition assessment (paved and unpaved), bridge and culvert visual
assessment, analysis of test data and data management will be an added advantage

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES (BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
PLANNING
• To develop, analyse and oversee the data collection and system development for RAMS.
• Coordinate and develop Road Asset Management System to align to business plan and budget
forecasting as a decision-making tool.
• Establish an Efficient and reliable resources and technology to operate the system.
• Develop and assess new standards and methodologies to be included in the policies and
procedures manual for the system.
• Provide inputs to reports required to EXCO through the SM and GM for business plans and the
RAMP Report.
ORGANISING
• Recommend changes to the unit organisation structure to meet strategic needs.
• Ensure the right mix of skills and staff is appointed.
• Ensure efficient reporting structures are in place.
• Implement all communication plans.
• Approve and implements reporting and control systems.
• Evaluate and monitor the existing processes to optimise staff, equipment and process efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure relevant and timeous recording of information.
