FARPost hope to revive soccer at Flora Park with donation

Vincent Kobola, FARPost brand ambassador explained that as somebody who started his career in school football, he understands the impact it can have on young players.

POLOKWANE – FARPost donated football jerseys to Flora Park Comprehensive High School last Wednesday after they identified the school as one of four in the city to receive jerseys, soccer balls, cones, markers and bibs.

Vincent Kobola, FARPost brand ambassador and former professional football player indicated that the donations were made in an effort to revive soccer at school. He explained that as somebody who started his career in school football, he understands the impact it can have on young players.

“I got a breakthrough because of school soccer after I was selected to play for the interprovincial squad. My first trip ever out of the province was going to Durban and it was because of football. My idea is to at least give these players the courage that they can also make it,” he said.

Kobola is also a former learner of Flora Park Comprehensive High School.

He said his plan is to host a FARPost tournament for the schools that received donations with the plan to increase the number of schools next year.

The long-term goal is to have a FARPost league for schools. Flora Park principal Joseph Ntsiene Masekela thanked him for the generous donation.

“We take sport seriously and the gear will assist and motivate learners. Thanks to Kobola and FARPost for the donation,” he said.
