With the spring sunshine, they will need a lot of water, and depending on the type, enough shade or sun. Noordjieland Pre-school learners share their views on what makes flowers grow.

Nakeish Southon says flowers grow if we water them. “I love flowers and they will die if we do not pour water on them. We plant flowers in the house and in the garden,” Nakeish says.

Kamogelo Mabitsela says he once planted seeds and flowers grew. “Pour water after planting seeds and flowers will grow,” adds Kamogelo.

Mia de Jager says flowers grow if there is sunshine. “The weather must be sunny and hot then flowers will grow.”

Louise Stoltz says flowers grow on the ground after planting seeds. “I love and take care of my flowers. I dig a hole and put in a seed, then a flower will grow.”
