Island hopping with the fiercest pirates

The gr. 00 to gr. 3 learners of Mitchell House decided that they would change this fact and treated guests to an evening aboard a pirate ship.

Because these little ones don’t live close to the sea, they don’t know any pirates.

The gr. 00 to gr. 3 learners of Mitchell House decided that they would change this fact and treated guests to an evening aboard a pirate ship.

The school hosted their junior-concert last week at the school’s theatre.

The learners took the audience on a sailing trip to islands where they searched for treasure.

They visited the Island of Smurfs, the Island of Rock, the Island of Click and many more.

“This is one of the best plays I’ve ever seen. I am very proud,” said Miriam Kennedy, who thoroughly enjoyed the show.

“The learners worked very hard and did us all proud,” said Gerda Steenkamp, head of the foundation phase at Mitchell House.
