LIMPOPO Tourism Agency’s (LTA) chief executive officer, Nocks Seabi was suspended from his duties with full pay by the board on Friday, pending an investigation into his alleged non-compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and treasury regulations.

LTA’s head of communication, Mike Tauyatswala confirmed this on Monday. “In light of these alleged irregularities, the public and tourism stakeholders in particular, are assured that the board will act swiftly in containing this situation but all administrative functions of the board are stable and fully functional. Stakeholders are assured that the agency and its current leadership are fully alert and have ensured that stability and services continue uninterrupted,” he said.

“A full investigation and due processes will be followed to ensure fairness and good governance. In the meantime the board has appointed Fixon Hlungwani as the acting CEO until further notice,” Tauyatswala said.
