POLOKWANE – The municipality finally fixed the electrical box in Nagel Street, Westenburg that was badly damaged in a motor vehicle accident two weeks before Christmas.
This after Review reported residents’ concerns about this safety hazard in January.
After the accident, the municipality closed the box with a thin steel cover, but the box was still open and the power cables were exposed.
A resident said they were worried because children could easily play with the cables and the children also had access to the switches inside the box.
The repaired box is now securely locked and residents say they are very happy with the service by the municipality.
