Witches, brides and princes take stage

Pemps hosted a Cuture Vulture evening with Pepps Polokwane Preparatory School attending on Wednesday.

POLOKWANE – Pemps hosted a Cuture Vulture evening with Pepps Polokwane Preparatory School attending on Wednesday.

The masters of ceremony were Modiegi Motsoaledi, Millin Naidoo, Munaka Munyai and Siviwe Semenya.

Learners brought three plays to the stage and entertained the audience with their acting, dancing and singing.

The first show, directed by Anna Parkin, Sarie Maree and Rene Kidd, was The Puppet Show in which a wicked witch, a handsome prince and a beautiful princess starred.

This was followed by Mamma Mia, directed by Boney Hensberg, in which a young woman who is getting married invites three men who could be her father to her wedding.

She ends up not getting married, but someone close to her does.

The last production, directed by Celri Lawrenson and Hilde Uys, was called Pretty Poor and the actors entertained guests with singing and dancing.

In this play, a woman’s handbag is stolen and the police arrest the wrong man. She does the right thing by telling them it is the wrong man and he is released.

Pemps principal, Desiree Conradie, welcomed the guests, while Pepps principal, Julia Werner, thanked everyone for attending.

“This show was really good. I loved all the singing and dancing and the acting was brilliant,” said Matthew Adams, a guest.
