Sasol Bendor is awarded the National Corporate Social Investment Award

POLOKWANE – Sasol Bendor has not only been making a name in the city with exceptional service to their customers, but has also been awarded for their service to the community.
The filling station, situated on the corner of Genl Viljoen and Genl Maritz Street, has been in the business of serving people for 13 years.
Sasol Bendor has been a major part of several community projects and their involvement in blood donation and local schools’ Craven Week teams stood out as some of the main factors when Sasol awarded this filling station with the National Corporate Social Investment Award.
The award was handed over to the owner and manager of the filling station, Johan Potgieter, in November last year.
The ceremony, which is held every two years, took place at Sun International’s Sun City. A cash prize accompanied the award.
The award is the only national award that Sasol bestows.
Filling stations nationwide are monitored for their social impact on the communities they serve, as well as how they are involved in their communities when it comes to education, health and welfare and job creation.
Potgieter said the award was greatly appreciated and the filling station would strive to do even better in future.
“We did not set out to win this award; we aim to please the clients and the community and it is because of our love and commitment that we received this honour and privilege,” he said.
Sasol Bendor’s management made an urgent call to motorists to remember that petrol prices are once again going up on the first Wednesday of April and that motorists fill-up their vehicles sooner rather than later.
