POLOKWANE – A plethora of water pipe bursts has plagued residents again over the past two weeks.
Most of the water pipes that burst did so because of rain causing more pressure on old water pipes than they could take, according to municipal spokesperson, Malesela Maubane.
He said the municipality was doing all it could to assist with the problem and pleaded with residents to be patient.
As proof of the municipality’s dedication in resolving this problem, Polokwane mayor Thembi Nkadimeng will host a Water Indaba on Friday.
The Water Indaba is a platform for all stakeholders that aims to facilitate engagement around critical water challenges facing the municipality.
