Commonwealth crown waits for local beauty

Precious Mamosebo is ready to take on other South African beauties in the Miss Commonwealth South Africa pageant on September 12.
LIMPOPO – LOCAL beauty, Precious Mamosebo (22) from Ga Mphahlele, wants to win the Miss Commonwealth 2015 pageant.
Precious has been selected as one of the 30 semi-finalists of the Miss Commonwealth South Africa pageant.
The commonwealth pageant is a platform created for women of all ages to become charity and cultural ambassadors within South Africa and international communities.
Precious says this is a great opportunity for her to become involved in charity work and help those who are less fortunate. “I love working with people and I want to empower others so that they can change their lives for the better,” she says.
She says she is currently studying towards a degree in economics at the University of Pretoria, because she is concerned about the current state of the country’s economy. She hopes that her skills will help stabilise it.
Precious says she realised she had talent in modelling when she became a popular newspaper’s babe of the month.
“I later joined other pageants but the Miss Commonwealth Pageant is my biggest achievement thus far.”
She says that although there were a lot of entries in the competition, she was not intimidated.
Precious says she is a dedicated and motivated candidate and her hard work of practise and training finally paid off.
“Winning the pageant will give me the opportunity to move on to the international leg of the competition.”
The grand final will take place at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef city on September 12.The winner will represent South Africa at the international pageant in London in November.
