DA’s Desiree makes Limpopo proud

POLOKWANE – Desiree van der Walt is one of the three DA federal deputy chairpersons who were appointed in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.
The voting stations were open from 06:30 to 08:30 and there were 60 voting points, where 1 425 delegates had an opportunity to cast their votes.
Van der Walt was one of seven candidates who applied for the DA federal deputy chairperson position and out of the seven, only three were appointed.
Dr Ivan Meyer and Refiloe Ntsekhe are the other two candidates who were appointed with Van der Walt to these positions.
“The DA is the most diverse political party and the only growing party in South Africa.
“I am very happy to be part of the DA and I look forward to serve the people, especially in my own province, Limpopo,” Van der Walt said.
The duties of a federal deputy chairperson is to liaise and support the chairperson, and the federal executive committee will also give the deputy chairperson different tasks to complete in communities.
