LOCAL comedian, Mukovhe Peter 'Mr Majo' Magwedze appeals to Limpopo residents to vote for him in the Ingoma Awards.
LIMPOPO – LOCAL comedian, Mukovhe Peter ‘Mr Majo’ Magwedze appeals to Limpopo residents to vote for him in the Ingoma Awards.
Magwedze has been nominated in the best gospel comedian category.
A gospel comedian, he says he uses humour to heal people while sending messages of hope, encouragement and salvation through his comedy.
“I don’t think there is even a word to describe how I feel right now. I am astonished to be honoured in such a way after just a few years of doing gospel stand-up comedy, and am determined now more than ever to achieve more,” says Magwedze.
“My thoughts are just to thank the Ingoma Awards for giving up and coming artists a platform and acknowledging artists’ hard work.”
He is up against Tumi Stopnonsons and says he is humbled to be up against someone who is as great as Tumi.
“We have actually grown to have a brotherly relationship since the nomination and are planning on working with each on future comedy shows. I am quite positive I will bring the award home, this one is ours by faith. I am so grateful for the love, support, belief and most importantly prayers, that I have received from my fans. Thank you for making my dreams come true. God bless you,” he says.
