3 000 strong in Limpopo protest on R37 road

LIMPOPO – Police have once again warned the motorists to avoid an area in Limpopo due to a protest march.

According to provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, Economic Freedom fighters (EFF) are protesting on the R37 near Mechlenburg.

“EFF members are currently protesting in the area…  more than 3 000 participants currently.”

“Travelling in the area is difficult and motorists , especially big trucks are advised to avoid the area,” concluded Otto.

Police are deployed and monitoring the situation.
