POLOKWANE – While visiting South Africa for the first time in 25 years, artist, Jeanine Jansson decided to donate two paintings to the Polokwane Art Museum.
“The one called Magic Life in Polokwane is about my daughter, Kim Louise dancing under the red moon with the animals and trees on the farm we stayed on while in South Africa. The other one called The Suricat Family is a painting of a family of meercats on the farm,” she said.
Rester Mahuza, educational assistant of the Polokwane Museum, said it was a generous gift and the museum’s personnel were ecstatic over the donation.
Jansson has flown back to Sweden after a three-month stay in South Africa.
