Car enthusiast, Derick Kganyago test drives the Volvo XC90
The all-new Volvo XC90 was recently named the 2016 WesBank/SAGMJ Car of the Year (COTY). This is what Derick Kganyago, the Spokesperson for the Department of Health, had to say about the all-new Volvo XC90:
POLOKWANE – The XC90 model Review took for a test drive is the front-wheel drive XC90 Momentum D4 with a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel-powered unit.
Accompanying Review was passionate car enthusiast, Derick Kganyago, the Spokesperson for the Department of Health.
Guiding Review and Kganyago on the trip was MGM Motor Group, Volvo Sales Executive, Christiaan Minnaar.
This is what Kganyago had to say about the all-new Volvo XC90:
“I am really impressed with the spaciousness of the cabin and quality interior.
What also impresses me is the abundance of safety features on board which makes this car one of the safest to drive around with, in my opinion. The throttle response and the acceleration of the 2.0-litre diesel turbo is also impressive for such a large vehicle, and the eight-speed automatic gearbox glides smoothly through the gears as one accelerate, is certainly another impressive feature,” Kganyago said.
With Kganyago at the wheel, the test team wound their way through traffic as Minnaar gave Kganyago the lowdown on the advanced safety features and technology that has been implemented.
“I love cars with a lot of power and an excellent sound system.
“The 2.0-litre diesel turbo is certainly impressive, and the sound system connected to 10 speakers also provides for quality sound. The panaromic glass roof lends an extra touch,” Kganyago observed.
‘The settings and dials inside the cabin to adjust the numerous functions are very user friendly and all within reach.”
Kganyago futher said the leather seats with multiple adjustments for the driver provides for a comfortable and ideal driving position, with a good view of the road ahead.
The superior quality of the XC90 and the solidity of each and every item fitted impressed him all the way.
He also mentioned the leg- and head-room space is more than ideal for him and when he initially took the driver’s seat, there was no need to adjust the seat as he felt comfortable straight away.
