POLOKWANE- There were 18 stalls on the day with a variety of goods ranging from wood furnishings, baked goods, fresh produce and clothing.

First time organiser of the market, 25-year-old Jolene Maré, viewed the idea of a market as an opportunity to artisans and produce farmers like herself. “I wanted to give them a chance to showcase their products because most of them sell from their homes,” said Mare.

Depending on how it is received, Jolene plans on making it a monthly occurrence.
