Hawks bust teen posing as a cardiologist

POLOKWANE – According to the Hawks, the doctor had applied for a cardiologist post at the Pietersburg Provincial Hospital using a fraudulent American cardiologist certificate.

The department verified her qualifications and they were found to be fraudulent, and she was arrested at the Department of Health while she attended interviews for the position.

Preliminary investigations revealed that she had also posed as a qualified cardiologist at a Netcare hospital, and does not have a matric certificate.

The suspect is expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court today (Wednesday).
