Get ready to paint the city in bright colours

POLOKWANE – The Color Run is returning to Polokwane on 13 August.

The Happiest 5K on the Planet will commence at Mitchell House, and colour runners must be ready to run (or walk) at 09:30 as the gun goes off at 10:00.

Colour runners will be divided into groups and each group will start three minutes apart. It takes one to two hours to run or walk the new route, which will end at the festival zone.

At the festival zone, there will be entertainment provided by local artists and DJs. There will also be a best-dressed competition, loads of food, drinks and more rainbows to keep the colour fun going.

Tickets cost R250 per person and are now available at www.thecolorrun.co.za or from Sportsmans Warehouse at Thornhill Shopping Centre.

Children under 10 run free.

For each ticket sold, R10 will be donated to a disadvantaged school in the region, as identified by Adopt a School Foundation.

Colour runners will each receive a race pack, which includes a Rainbow Tour edition race T-shirt, headband, bag of colour powder, temporary tattoos and a race number.

All registered colour runners must collect their participation packs on Thursday, 11 or Friday, 12 August at Mitchell House. No packs will be handed out on the day of the event.
