Young artist, big dreams
The 25-year-old Johannes Langa from Mokopane is a strong believer in the saying: "If you can dream it you can achieve it."
MOKOPANE – Langa, a talented artist, who has been drawing and creating comic strips since he can remember, matriculated from Hebron School after which he obtained his degree in media studies from the University of Limpopo and today he is the proud founder of Red Ink Media.
Langa told Bosveld: “I design logos, posters and even portraits for customers. This is my passion.”
When asked where he sees himself in five years, he said: “I plan to have my own television station where all of my cartoons will be featured. I am also an aspiring comic book writer who is planning on publishing at least two comic books for children.”
Langa gets a lot of support from his family, especially from his cousin Phuti Nailana (23), who is like a brother to him. Nailana a former learner from Hoërskool Piet Potgieter, is currently studying accounting at the University of the Free State.
Nailana told Bosveld I really want to invest in Langa’s business one day, he has so much talent and I want to help him realize his dreams.”
