POLOKWANE – Feroz Patel , the father of murder accused Rameez Patel, was shot and killed by four unknown men in Platinum Street on Friday, 12 August.
It is reported that the men chased after Patel until his vehicle eventually crashed into a wall. The men then shot Patel and fled the scene with a bag which they had taken from his vehicle. A manhunt has since been launched to locate those responsible for the crime say police.
The motive for the shooting is still unknown, but investigations are continuing, according to Provincial Police Spokesperson, Col Ronél Otto.
“There are no new developments in the case and no arrests have been made yet,” explained Otto.
Patel, who was known for being a kind and warm family man, leaves behind his wife, Zabeen, three sons Rameez, Razeen and Raakib, as well as his grandchildren.
