CCTV crime footage: ATM card gone in 30 sec
After a recent flood of ATM robberies, Review received CCTV footage that shows one of the ways people are being targeted at ATMs.
In the video three suspected bank card thieves wait at a ATM at a filling station in Burgersfort. The one man pretends that he is using the second ATM, while the third suspect stands a distance away, on the lookout. When a customer comes to use the ATM she is interrupted by the first man, pretending that he left his receipt in the ATM, he then proceed to help the woman with her transaction. During the time he walks around her and without her noticing he takes her card from the ATM. The woman only realises the card is missing after the man and his two accomplices have disappeared.
